Security screening does not need to feel like an addition to the architecture
Explore some of our standout installations across Brisbane
From large contemporary openings and hidden stacking systems to classic double-hung windows and expansive indoor-outdoor spaces, Chalmers Security Installations works with homeowners, builders and window manufacturers to develop screening solutions around the way a home has been designed to look and live.
A Mixture of Old + New
A character home at the front. A contemporary extension at the rear. Between them, one of CSI’s most technically demanding security-screen installations.
PATIO TO POOL
The Sherwood renovation centred around expansive cavity stacking doors connecting the new living areas with the patio and pool. With no standard security-screen provision available for the opening, CSI worked collaboratively with the window manufacturer and project team to develop a custom tracking solution.
ForceField®
The final installation included ForceField® security screens across both levels of the home, concealed interlocks on the large stacking doors, hinge window screens, security doors and keyed-alike locking throughout. More than twelve months of planning and coordination produced a system that disappears into the architecture when open and provides security when the family needs it.
THE BRIEF
Security + airflow + seamless indoor-outdoor living.
THE CHALLENGE
Extra-large cavity stacking openings + no standard screen provision.
THE SOLUTION
Custom tracking + Prowler Proof ForceField® + concealed H.I.T. components.

A Japanese-Inspired Bushland Retreat
Set into a Brookfield hillside and surrounded by bushland, this minimalist architectural home places extraordinary importance on light, views and connection with the landscape.
COMPETING FEATURES
Large areas of glazing, an indoor-outdoor pool, surrounding vegetation and an isolated setting created competing requirements for visibility, airflow, insect protection, security and bushfire performance.
ForceField®
CSI installed Prowler Proof ForceField® across the external doors and windows, using concealed fixing systems and avoiding visually intrusive midrails wherever possible. The finished screens preserved the openness of the architecture while helping meet the functional requirements of the home, earning CSI the 2019 national award for Best Residential Installation.
THE BRIEF
Keep the architecture open, light and visually uninterrupted.
THE CHALLENGE
Bushland exposure + insects + security + extensive glazing.
THE SOLUTION
ForceField® stainless steel screening with concealed fixing systems.

Suburban Oasis
Security, transparency and genuine indoor-outdoor living. This architecturally designed Fig Tree Pocket home was built around landscaped gardens, natural light, breezes and outdoor living.
VARIETY OF OPENINGS
The property included louvres, bi-fold openings, sliding and stacking doors, central-opening sliders, French doors and hinged openings, meaning no single screening configuration could solve the entire brief.
ForceField®
CSI combined Prowler Proof ForceField® security screening with Freedom retractable screens across selected bi-fold openings, maintaining views and airflow while allowing different parts of the home to respond to the way they were actually used.
The homeowners had specifically researched screening options for their high-end new build and selected Prowler Proof for its security, warranty and aesthetics.
THE BRIEF
Secure a large open-plan architectural home without shutting it down.
THE CHALLENGE
Multiple door and window configurations across one property.
THE SOLUTION
ForceField® + retractable screening selected opening by opening.
